Hottest Denver Colorado Restaurants
October 16, 2011 by admin
Eating out in a restaurant is one of my favorite things to do. The Denver area is a great place to savor food from a variety of eating establishments. The best restaurants and cafes create a unique atmosphere that compliments the food, are sure to have patrons buzzing with excitement and are undoubtedly in line for Food Networks best of list, I’m sure. I’ve learned that the best restaurants come from a friend telling you what they discovered. Here are a few I’d like to pass on.
Finest Local Cafe – Ernie’s Bar & Pizza
The best food always seems to come from establishments that have seen better days with sandwich boards set out front announcing their specials. This cafe will make a variety of patrons comfortable from a couple out on a first date to tired workers needing to wind-down after a long day. Your menu choices include thin-crust pizza, family-size quantities of crisp green salad and local draft beer. Consistently high-quality food is waiting for you at Ernie’s.
Finest Steakhouse – Elway’s Cherry Creek
When visiting western America, eating steak is a must. The cattle are homegrown and you won’t experience anything better than a fresh cut steak. You’ll have ordering options that range from a perfectly cooked steak with a side of au gratin potatoes to an unforgettable steak chili.
Finest Chinese Restaurant – Chef Liu’s Authentic Chinese Cuisine
I know you didn’t think that delicious Chinese food existed out west, but I’m here to tell you that, apparently, you can find amazing Chinese food everywhere. The uninspired location is an average strip mall. However, the food is from another country. You can choose from unique dishes of cumin-sprinkled lamb kabobs, Beijing seasoned pork and chicken merged with chilies. You can also order menu items that have been Americanized if you’re not quite ready for an authentic Chinese experience.
Finest Panoramic View- Flagstaff House
After your stomach has settled down from the curves and twists that you’ll encounter on the uphill road to Flagstaff House, you’ll be ready for a delectable meal. The restaurant was constructed 40 years ago with floor-to-ceiling windows to offer you an amazing view of the city. Or, the outdoor patio will present you with Colorado’s nature and fresh air always seems to add to the taste of food. Menu options include red snapper, lobster and buffalo steak.
Finest Mexican Buffet – Guadalajara Authentic Mexican Buffet
Buffet is considered a dirty word in many housholds. However, this Mexican buffet is a special one. You can choose from every Mexican dish imaginable with cuisine that includes enchiladas and tacos along with fish and shrimp soup. You will have dozens of dishes to choose from and each one is sure to fill you up as it tastes good going down.
Finest Native American food – Tocabe
This unique restaurant was inspired by Osage tribe member Chef Ben Jacobs. His distinctive idea was to create a menu entirely out of Native American dishes. The Indian Navajo taco will have your taste buds sighing in satisfaction with fry bread made from scratch along with hominy salsa, fresh tomatoes and sour cream. Other dishes to consider are the green chili soup and bison ribs with blueberry BBQ sauce.
Now get out and explore.
